Season 3 begins January 21, 2007, and we have quite a lineup in store!

An absolutely thrilling black bear hunt is on the agenda this season, along with hunting excursions involving moose, caribou, partridge and snowshoe hare.

If fishing for big brook trout gets you going, you?ll want to catch our Igloo Lake program from Labrador. Battles with the most powerful game fish of them all - the Atlantic salmon - continue this season, plus Dwight, Gord and some friends take you ice fishing in and around Gambo Pond, then cod jigging in Placentia Bay.

The Newfoundland Sportsman Show - You won?t want to miss a single episode of Season 3, Sundays on NTV!

Season 2 - DVD #1
Show #1 - Flower?s River - Salmon, Char, Brookies & Lakers - Part 1:
Dwight, Gord and a couple of guests fly to northern Labrador where they experience some of the best fishing to be found on the planet. Action is consistent as they cast for these powerful and highly sought-after species.
Show # 2 - Flower?s River - Salmon, Char, Brookies & Lakers - Part 2:
Our guests are pumped with excitement as they hook huge brook trout, char and a laker on a fly. They describe it as "a dream fishing trip."
Show # 3 - Back on the Gander River:
After a rather amusing round of golf at nearby Terry Nova Golf course, the boys are off on another trip down the scenic Gander River, where they entice a few fish to the almighty Blue Charm.
  Show # 4 - Indian Bay Brookies:
Great friends, fun and fishing await Dwight and Gord in the Indian Bay watershed, where chunky brook trout are waiting to battle.
Show # 5 - Exploits River Salmon Fishing:
With returns of 30,000 fish a year, the Exploits in central Newfoundland is truly one of the top producing rivers in the entire province. And when these fish are in the mood to "take," watch out!
Show # 6 - Central Newfoundland Char & Trout Fishing:
In and around the massive Red Indian Lake is where the Sportsman boys search for brook trout and land-locked salmon (ouananiche), hooking a few Arctic char as a bonus along the way.
Show # 7 - On the Road - Salmon Fishing:
A few salmon and "tonnes of fun" are what make this show one to remember. Dwight, Gord and a few long-time friends toss their fly fishing gear aboard a motor home and head across the province. The phrase, "business/pleasure trip," was probably coined with such excursions in mind.
Season 2 - DVD #2
Show # 8 - Humber River Monster Salmon:
The highlight of Dwight?s angling career is captured in this episode, when he hooks and lands 25 pounds of Atlantic muscle. There?s really no way to describe the angler?s excitement, other than to actually see it here.
Show # 9 - Prince Edward Island Goose Hunt - Part 1:
Atlantic Canada waterfowling at its finest, and the Sportsman crew experiences it first-hand. Watch as their guides flag and call hundreds of geese and ducks into the decoys.
Show # 10 - Prince Edward Island Goose Hunt - Part 2:
Some fine and not-so-fine shooting continues, as there seems to be no end in sight to the "Vs" of geese coming into the spread. Even while setting up and dismantling decoys in the field, big Canada?s fly overhead.
Show # 11 - Northern Peninsula Moose Hunt:
After seeing a number of cows and calves over the first few days of the trip, as well as a few large males far off in the distance, Gord is beginning to wonder if he?ll ever get a shot at a nice bull. And then...
Show # 12 - Northwest Gander Caribou Hunt:
It?s the first-ever caribou hunt for Gord Sr., father of our co-host, as he joins Dwight and "Gordie" for lengthy boot-sucking hikes across marshes in central Newfoundland.
  Show # 13 - Winter Rabbit Hunting:
Hear the hounds howl and watch them drive rabbits to the gun in this popular small game activity. The "snowshoe" hare has an obvious advantage over dogs and hunters during the winter, which makes the hunt all that more challenging.
